About the Foundation

The mission of the Foundation is to support the mission, goals and programs of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Office of Greenways and Trails. We work to develop funding for the Office of Greenways and Trails in its mission to establish a statewide interconnected network of greenways and trails for recreation,conservation, and alternative transportation.

What Funds Do

Your financial support will contribute to:

• Supporting trail enhancement projects
• Enabling the Foundation to make grants to trail projects around the state
• Public education and awareness projects
• Promoting special events and tours
• Creating an endowment fund to further enhance the work of the Foundation in perpetuity
• Sponsoring research on resource and recreation management
• Working with the Leaders of the State in Growth Planning and Growth Management
• Providing equipment, programs and other resources
• Sponsoring exhibits, programs and publications
